StaffCo Direct is recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Shunters for ongoing work based in Northampton. We are looking for reliable, professional drivers to join a well-established operation, supporting our client’s day-to-day transport activities. This role offers a consistent 4 on 4 off rota, weekly bookings, and immediate starts for the right candidates.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Monday to Friday Nights: £19.19ph plus holiday pay, or £21.50ph including holiday pay
- Saturday: £19.63ph plus holiday pay, or £22.00ph including holiday pay
- Sunday: £21.41ph plus holiday pay, or £23.99ph including holiday pay
What the role involves
You'll be responsible for yard shunting duties, moving trailers safely and efficiently around the site to support the transport operation. Shifts are 12 hours in length, working a fixed 4 on 4 off rota from 18:00 to 06:00, providing regular hours and consistent earnings.
Our ideal candidate
- Holds a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence or HGV Class 2 (C) licence held for a minimum of 2 years
- Has a valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
- Has no more than 6 penalty points (no IN, DR or DD codes)
- Previous shunting or similar experience is advantageous
