Class 1 HGV Drivers – GXO Barnsley
StaffCo Direct is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing work based in Barnsley.
We’re looking for day and night drivers, with regular weekly block bookings available and consistent work on offer.
This is a well-run operation with a modern fleet, friendly transport team, and secure on-site parking.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
Days - £17.00 per hour plus holiday pay
Nights - £19.00 per hour plus holiday pay
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Immediate starts available
The Role:
4 on / 4 off shift pattern
12-hour shifts
Day shifts: 06:00–18:00
Night shifts: 18:00–06:00
Regular trunking/delivery work with drops as required
Ongoing work with immediate starts available
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
Maximum 6 points on your licence
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
Reliable and professional approach
Assessment & Induction
Successful candidates will complete the standard GXO assessment process, including:
Drug & Alcohol test
Approximately 8-hour assessment/induction
Some Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training
Following successful completion, drivers will buddy up with experienced drivers before working independently
